In an effort to shorten the vast metering gap in Nigeria, we worked in partnership with the US Trade and Development Agency to conduct pilot on the efficacy of smart meters to improve utility operations.
We developed a study that assessed the market demand for smart meters among the other ten distribution companies (DISCOs) in the country and profiled the costs and financing options for a large-scale roll-out of 25,000 smart meters. SparkMeter also delivered a successful smart metering pilot that enabled cashless payment and produced analytics on reliability, system losses, and operational metrics like voltage deviation and power factor.
